On May 5, the Korean Association of Puerto Rico received a request to attend the funeral of Veteran Benjamin Reyes Martinez, 98. We attended the funeral at Morovis National Cemetery to express our gratitude and offer condolences to his family and friends. We presented his family with the Ambassador Peace Medal from Republic of Koreawhich he did not receive during his lifetime. He is survived by his wife, five children, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. The funeral ceremony included military honors such as flag folding, a ceremonial honor guard, and a taps trumpet performance.
